Insight

I’m interested in understanding the core insights that underpin creative expression and nature-based innovation. I develop design interventions that communicate what lies at the core of an idea to enable connection and value exchange.

Connection

At the core of what I do is a belief in creating connections, between the human and material world. I use material literacy, collaboration, and making to design programmes, research projects, and educational tools that create spaces for learning and connection.

Development

I believe that innovations in materials and design are central to global sustainable futures. I curate spaces and public events that further understand the intersections of design, ecology and culture.

This series, is inspired by fragments from an abandoned bottle factory in Jingdezhen, celebrating the legacy of the city’s evolving porcelain industry. Bottles were cast from porcelain found onsite (aged with impurities), local red clay (iron-rich) and local porcelain manufactured at last factory using local Jiangxi kaolin.
